what is flow, the flow of life.

What is flow?

Everything is in flow. Air flows, blood flows, the Ebb and Flow of the ocean
The first law of thermodynamics states:

"Energy can be transformed (changed from one form to another), but it can neither be created nor destroyed."
Chi is the energy flow of life. A acupuncturists focuses on this chi, this flow, by directing
it to speed up, slow down or readjusting it.
Qi Gong refers to a wide variety of traditional cultivation practices that involve methods of accumulating, circulating, and working with qi breathing or energy within the body.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.
If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy".
So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
Summer McStravick, the originator of Flow dreaming (www.flowdreaming.com)
talks about something called flow thinking.
Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience, by one Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. The book has had a lasting effect on me, and the concept of flow has worked itself deeply into my thinking. The depth of concentration required by the fine balance of challenges and skills precludes worrying about temporarily irrelevant issues. We forget ourselves and become lost in the activity.

If the rock-climber were to worry about his job or his love life as he is hanging by his fingertips over the void, he would soon fall. The musician would hit a wrong note, the chess player would lose the game.
In meditation one of true goals is that meditation become more than a technique, it becomes your life. Referring to the Bible on pray. It is stated that pray should be unceasingly.
This is how Life in the Flow is, unceasing.
Please visit Flow Dreaming for exploring deep aspects of the flow and flow dreaming.
